Top 5 fashionable movies & experience

I thought that I have always loved watching movies, til I met a friend who taught me how to live in movies, It started with The Dark Knight, He made me watch the three parts, but what got me so into it, is that he had to explain to me what is the purpose of the movie and why they did it and how, and gave me facts about batman and how he doesn't really have super powers and that he was afraid of bats which mean he is facing his own fears, and it was just a comic book started in 1939 and all that, and when I got home we talk about the movie, he sent me links and stuff to read, and we lived the experience all over again.

Even though I loved watching The Dark Knight with him, but I knew in my heart that dresses and jewels will always make me happier, so i wanted to live that experience. I wanted to see Dresses and Jewels, I wanted to see Beauty, I wanted to see those feminine movies (doesn't have to be girly, no).
with all the movies he recommended (which they were great) I have my TOP 5 experiences.

#5. Breakfast at Tiffany's:
1961, Starring Audry Hepburn and George Peppard.
The movie had the iconic images of 20th century with the over sized cigarette holder.

The "Little Black Dress" by Givenchy, the most famous little black dress of all time, that was actually designed specially for her  role in the film as Holly. in 2006 the dress was auctioned for more than $900,000
she had the amazing Statement Pearl Necklace, and "Holley's" Manhattan Sunglasses manufactured by Oliver GoldSmith, the Sunglasses were released again in 2011 for the 50th Anniversary of the Film, now you can buy them for $440

The Story of the film is about a young woman in NYC who meets a young man when he moves to her building, and he wants to be a writer. the building is actually
in East Seventy-first street in Manhattan, and the apartment (townhouse)       which features 3 bedrooms and solarium was listed for $5.85 Million

#4.Burlesque:

2010, Starring Cher and Christina Aguilera,
The story is about a normal Town girl moves to Los Angeles, started working as a waitress in a neo-burlesque club, that a former dancer been running. she fall in love with the art of  burlesque dancing and singing, and find her place there.

during the movie she face Financial, artistic, and love challenges.

Christina's dress in “A Guy That Takes His Time” was made of pearls a little bit of fabric.

and Christina's dress in "I'm a good girl" and how the skirt comes off in the ending was just so cute and sexy

#3 Anna Karenina :

2012, Starring Keira Knightley and I have to mention the amazing movies she made, also from my favorite movies (recommended by my good friend) Pride & Prejudice and Atonement

Anna Karenina is an epic love story set in 19th century, all about Anna Karenina and her affair with the affluent Count Vronsky, the story is really amazing, and it's a novel that was written in 1877

The Dresses and Jewelry are Fabulous, duh, the movie is an Oscar-nominated and award-winning costume designer, Jacqueline Durran. She is also the one responsible for the costumes for the movies  Pride & Prejudice and Atonement

The referencing of the costumes were from 1950s, and tried to emphasis the '50s element of the clothing within the 1870

when you live the experience of Anna Karenina, with The ballrooms and ball dances, and gowns, and jewelry, you feel the 19th century fashion, you drown in those dresses, you fall in love with jewels.

JD said "None of [the jewellery] was custom made - all of Keira [who plays Anna Karenina] jewelry comes from Chanel. It's all real, so in every scene she wears real diamonds [or pearls]. And it's not vintage; every piece is from Chanel's fine jewellery collection. But we used things that we thought matched the mood of Anna Karenina. And because we were stylising the look and we weren't being accurate about [being in] 1879, it didn't bother me at all to use modern jewellery.
All the headdresses and hats were custom made for Anna Karenina. The gloves weren't; we bought them from various glove makers. And in most parts of the film, everybody wears ballet shoes rather than any other period shoe and that again arose from the stylisation of the piece [the film] and the fact that we had to work with a choreographer. Because it [the majority of the film] was composed as a dance, it made sense that everyone had dance shoes on all the time."

THE HATS

#2. Liz & Dick:

2012, Starring Lindsay Lohan & Grant Bowler. It's a biographical TV film about the relationship of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton

I Loved the movie because of the relationship between them, how Elizabeth was so spoiled and Richard was spoiling her even more ,by showering her with expensive jewels and stuff like that.
They constantly fight, but they always find their way back to love each other, the fighting was apart of their love. They understood each other and that is exactly how they knew how to piss each other off, at the same time fall in love all over again,
He makes a remark about her "pudgy fingers", but apologizes straight after. After Elizabeth asks Richard to buy a ring, he purchases a 69-carat diamond which would later become known as the Taylor-Burton Diamond.
I also love how they never really cared about what people thought about them with all the cheating and rumors, even though they are heavily criticized by the media.

The film contains 117 costume changes between Lohan and Bowler, with Lohan having 66 different costumes.Thompson had some of Taylor's most famous jewelry recreated for the film, including the 33-carat Krupp Diamond. Lohan also wore several of Taylor's vintage dresses for the film.
Lohan's hair and makeup spans all of Taylor's looks, "from the long lashes and red lips of the 1950s and the Cleopatra-inspired eyeliner and nude mouth of the '60s to her teased '80s bouffant, always with her trademark eyeliner to accentuate her famous violet eyes." Lohan also wore opalescent lavender contact lenses for the role.
Lohan brought in her own makeup to be used, consisting of Chanel, Dior and M.A.C products.

#1. The Great Gatsby:

2013, Starring  Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, and Carey Mulligan, An adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's Long Island-set novel

The movie is fantastic, even though I love happy endings, but it was dramatically satisfying, with a thrilling touch.

The love story was great, and real. as I said I usually love happy endings, but I love how real this ending was. It shows you who is there all the way. and it is definitely not the money. it will always be a real friend, or someone felt your pain, or at least understood your pain.

The movie make you realize that you can fall in love again. I love the part where she couldn't lie to her husband saying she never fell in love with him, and when he asked "even when I carried you?", she just couldn't lie because she obviously did fall in love with him. but she also fell in love with Gatsby before and during that conversation. Gatsby was just not there when she fell for someone else.

The fashion was beyond fabulous, I mean common, Prada Dresses and Tiffany Jewellery are like a dream come true.

The parties with the music and dresses, though I know people did not really like the lighting for a movie suppose to be in the 20's but if it wasn't like that it wouldn't be that good. The parties gave me a touch of a thrill. the dresses made me breathless and Oh My God Tiffany you just took my heart away.

The Great Gatsby achieved the iconic 1920's look by altering pieces from the Prada and Miu Miu fashion archives.
Catherine Martin and Miuccia Prada were behind the wardrobe and worked closely together to create pieces with "the European flair that was emerging amongst the aristocratic East Coast crowds in the 1920s"
